To playfully imagine masterful dance that is about to come and the potential for anything to happen. No expectation. No rules. Countless times I’ve become so constrained by technique or attachment to particular outcomes that I forget some of the most meaningful art comes through spontaneous freedom of the hand and mind. When it doesn’t matter what others think or even what I think of the outcome and I just paint. Like a warrior. Allowing myself to be unafraid. That’s when the good stuff happens.
